Aikâlôs Kantara is the current Chancellor of the Archive. He was born a commoner, but has managed to make himself a noble. Kantara may profess to embody the ideals the Archive says it promotes; but in reality, Kantara's scheming, greed, and roundabout self-serving nature is a very accurate reflection of what the Archive has become. Despite his shortcomings, he does seem to have the Empire's best interests at heart, though.
