Azithîr was the name of a zaian who usurped control of the initial Coalition reinforcements to the Othaen Federation. Despite the standing zaian oath that they shall not take arms or lead wars unless facing a threat the mortals could not handle on their own, Azithîr ended up commanding the entire fleet and all its forces. The question of how he came to be in charge involved the accidental death of the Tarsin lord chosen to lead.
Among the Tarsins and Arkanin, Azithîr was renowned for his courage and conviction. He would often descend to the front lines himself and turn his powers on the Earthmen, making sure all could see him in the thick of action. Morale was through the roof for the Coalition forces whenever Azithîr was present. For the Earthmen, Azithîr was a dangerous and brutal warlord with no regard for human life whatsoever, and willingly send his own troops into the metaphorical meat-grinder to achieve quicker victories. His treatment of Earth prisoners was harsh, unlike how captured Earthmen had been treated by the Arkanin leadership previously. Eventually, Earth realized that Azithîr had to go; he was too much of an asset to the Coalition fleet. Feta Squad engaged and destroyed him on Murs-Sonctarom, to the despair of the invaders and rejoicing of defenders. He was the highest-ranked Coalition leader to die yet in the war, and the first one who died on camera.
